One of the most popular beaches on the island is the Black Beach which is formed by a long shoreline that consists of both Perissa beach and Perivolos beach. It takes its name from the black colored sand that spans along the beach as a result of the solidified volcanic lava and it is an amazing place for a swim.
The Red Beach is just as well-known and its name originates from the red color of the sand and surrounding mountain that covers the shore. It never seizes to amaze visitors who always marvel at the red and black volcanic rocks that stand out in a mysterious landscape. This spectacular beach is located in the area of Akrotiri and it is a place that’s truly worth visiting during your stay here.
You can also use boat taxi and visit the amazing white beach. 
You should also make sure that you go to Kamari beach and see the large rock Mesa Vouno that rises from the sea and it includes the ancient ruines of the first settlement. This enormous rock formation will surely take your breath away.
